This is a piece of in-world fiction: a fake excerpt from a fake memoir that exists inside my upcoming debut novel.

The annotations are from a character you'll meet soon. No real travel writers were harmed in the making of this found file.

In 2320-something, one human travel writer spent one season on the Vamath homeworld and wrote a bestseller about it. This is four pages of it: scanned, plastic-wrapped, and tagged as evidence. It was recovered with handwriting already in the margins.

Someone read these accounts of the springs, the homes, and the "reserved" people of Asphen. That someone also had corrections.
